Over 400 Solar Systems Installed | 06.5.07 | Fast-growing Cedar Mountain Solar Systems recently installed its 400th solar heating system, a feat that company officials say creates half a million pounds of carbon dioxide emission offsets a year and $100,000 in energy savings.
Whether customers want to make an environmental statement or just save money, Cedar Mountain Solar staff feels it has a product that is truly making a difference.
"Even doing something small like installing a solar water system is equivalent to taking a passenger car off the road for 11,000 miles," said Boaz Soifer, partner and general manager.
Created in 2004, the company was a merger between heating design specialist Bristol Stickney Consulting and solar heating provider Golden Sun Solar. The combination has created "a one-stop shop for that array of services," Soifer said.
